Provides anesthesia for both infiltration and nerve block techniques. Presents less toxicity in system tan other amide base local anesthetics. Exits the circulation faster than most of the other local anesthetics. Plunger has easy smooth movement as both plunger and cartridge are silicon coated. Free from natural rubber latex leading to reduced allergic reactions. The average time of onset and soft tissue duration is approximately less than 2 minutes and 2 hours respectively for infiltration injection with 4% Citanest Plain. This Injection provides pulpal anesthesia of approximately 10 minutes in maxillary infiltration injections. This has been found to provide complete anesthesia for procedures lasting an average of 20 minutes. When used for inferior alveolar nerve block, the time of onset 4% Citanest Plain Dental Injection averages less than three minutes with an average duration of soft tissue anesthesia of approximately 2.5 hours.
